Madam Snowflake

Rise Up Babylon is a story of one family’s journey through some of today’s most contentious issues. Division, widened by unthinkable grief and thoughtless deception, is healed only by the light of truth and connecting power of the universal language of music.

The soundtrack for this highly anticipated musical is a concept album in its own right, described as a “masterpiece” by industry executives. Snowflake partnered with talents Stephen Edwards (acclaimed film composer/music producer), John Jones (Grammy-winning producer), and Bernie Grundman (renowned mastering engineer) to create Rise Up Babylon’s soundtrack that features notable musicians Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), Randy Cooke (Eurythmics, Five for Fighting), and the Moscow Metropolitan Orchestra.

Before the release of Rise Up Babylon, Madam Snowflake is sharing a documentary album and video series. Road to Rise Up Babylon is a collection of sonic journal entries about the creation of the musical — that was born out of the most unusual circumstances. Given Snowflake’s notoriety in the global EDM community, she will also be releasing select acappellas from these tracks for a global remix contest at ccMixter.

After its audio release, Rise Up Babylon is anticipated to be adapted for a feature film or limited television series. Rise Up Babylon will resume its journey to Broadway in 2025.

Madam Snowflake

Madam Snowflake is a prolific artist. She's released 17 albums, is a megastar in the Dutch Hardstyle scene, and has shared over 300 original vocals with other creators on ccMixter.org — an international platform for musical collaboration. Her songs are heard by millions of people — in thousands of remixes, countless YouTube videos, and on some of the largest festival stages in the world.

Snowflake first launched her career under her given name, Emily Richards, and was immediately recognized all over the world as a digital music pioneer. Emily was one of the first artists, ever, to share her music on the internet. Emily became the most downloaded artist on MP3.com and headlined their 50-city tour where 100 bands opened for her.

Emily's value for generosity led her to share her original vocals for remixing -- which launched her to stardom in the Hardcore music scene where she has more than a dozen festival hits performed throughout Europe and around the world.

Snowflake’s journey has led her to her most ambitious endeavor yet, her first musical, Rise Up Babylon.

Emily is a classically trained vocalist, pianist, and dancer and also an accomplished producer. Her ethereal vocals and unique piano melodies are instantly recognizable. On stage, her energetic presence is captivating.

Emily's passion for sharing extends beyond her music. She is a dedicated environmentalist and activist, and is devoted to serving her communities in both Los Angeles and on the island of Kauai.
